MBA – the two-year full time programme offered by the Management & Commerce Department is designed with the objective of developing our students into highly skilled managers, ready to undertake the administrative, managerial and entrepreneurial challenges of the industry and the emerging service sector.

The programme is characterised by a unique mix of core management courses and specialized electives in Finance, Marketing, HR, and Operations. The curriculum of the MBA is designed in a manner so as to impart experiential learning amongst the students. This is facilitated by the multiple occasions of Industry interface through Guest Lectures, Industrial visits, Project work, and Internships, wherein the students are encouraged to test their classroom learning in real world scenarios, thereby getting a more holistic experience in their academic pursuit.

The first year of the course introduces core management models and tools with an emphasis on involving the students in learning and helping them to relate concepts and theories to business realities. The year concludes with the students undertaking a Summer Internship programme which allows students to explore the practical application of the management concepts.

The second year of the course sees the students from their interests based on their Summer Internship as well as their first year experiences, and choose from the wide range of electives on offer from the MBA Curriculum. The curriculum is revised on an ongoing basis through discussions with practicing managers from the industry. This is done to reflect current business needs in the curriculum.

The program also offers placement assistance to the students and a dedicated placement team works throughout the year to link the students to their prospective employers.
